Maggie Sacco Curcio, MLS, Lead Consultant

I started Infocus Library Consulting in 2015 when I moved to SoCal, after five years in partnership with my best friend at HS Infocus LLC. I'm continuing what we built by working with my library colleagues in creative partnership to better serve their customers.  I've built relationships with Librarians, Vendors, Graphic Artists, Preservationists, Data and IT Professionals - I'll assemble a team that's a custom fit for your project and source and screen contractors and permanent FTEs . I'm also a versatile and experienced Librarian and do many projects solo. It all depends on the scope of your project.

Our clients include: National Academy of Sciences, Criterion Edge, L.A. Metro, Foundation for Science & Math Education, Missouri DOT, Iowa DOT, Partners in Brainstorms, Arizona DOT, Tennessee DOT

What Our Clients Say

Maggie is the very epitome of the temperament and talents that librarians and information professionals should possess. Her ability to bring people together in pursuit of mutual goals, even in the most demanding of circumstances and environments, is exemplary. I can personally attest that she has met each challenge with unmatched focus and expertise. She is a resourceful, hard-working, well-organized, solution-oriented person who knows how to lead and when to take direction. She has been especially skillful when it comes to juggling multiple projects and priorities without sacrificing the quality of any. We have been very fortunate to have her as a pivotal contributor in the transportation libraries community.

ALA COVID-19 RESPONSE

Continually updated

We are living in unprecedented times. As the impact of the current public health crisis continues to evolve and change the work of libraries and library workers, ALA is working harder than ever to respond to the dizzying challenges the COVID-19 pandemic brings to our profession and industry.in your article or add a video for extra engagement...

31 August 2021

Misinformation abounds around COVID-19, and facts are a key part of the overall response to the pandemic. Libraries have the reputation, skilled professionals and resources to help combat the confusion. IFLA has produced a COVID-19 edition of their popular How To Spot Fake News infographic, with a stronger focus on the pandemic – especially the need to check with other sources ...

REOPENING LIBRARIES, ARCHIVES & MUSEUMS-REALM

Continually updated

OCLC, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Battelle are conducting research on how long the COVID-19 virus survives on materials that are prevalent in libraries, archives, and museums. The project will draw upon the research to produce authoritative, science-based information on how—or if— materials can be handled to mitigate exposure to staff and visitors...

HOW TO SANITIZE COLLECTIONS IN A PANDEMIC

27 March 2020

Some libraries have a mission that precludes complete quarantine. LC, for example, continues to support Congress while it’s in session, which requires some staff to be onsite. Other libraries are maintaining services with curbside checkouts of materials. That means additional sanitizing methods are warranted...
